[Miiko] Crafton, a native of Japan who befriended Noriko Savoie during her short time in Tennessee, said her friend tried to get a divorce while the couple still lived in Japan, but her husband had refused and later persuaded her to move to the U.S. with the children.
"Everything was provided so she could begin a new lifestyle, but right after that he gave her divorce papers," Crafton said. "So basically she was trapped."

In court, she accused Christopher Savoie of threatening to have her father jailed over a disagreement stemming from the sale of a car.
In a hostile e-mail from Christopher Savoie that was entered into the court record, he called her an "idiot" and accused her of "poisoning the children against me." He complained about the large cash payout she got and monthly support payments.
Dear Sally, The children are US citizens and Isaac was born at Stanford University in California. so what you posted above is not correct. BOTH children are US citizens and Noriko is a permanent US resident. Noriko worked in Silicon Valley and was completely bilingual. How could Christopher prevent her from returning to Japan ("home), as you contend, when she actually returned? It was only the children's passports that were held so that the children would not be kidnapped. She could go to Japan whenever she pleased....
Dear all, This will be my last post! Thank you all for your support and prayers!! -Amy

In more than fifty years, involving more than 20,000 children, they have never found a case where the best interests of the child would be served by returning it overseas?
記事の最後がのパラグラフとか、酷いもんだね。 You would think the Japanese would have learned by now not to get involved with us evil foreigners, since we're all spousal and child abusers.
are the Japanese fundamentally stupid or just pathological liars?

I've read all the texts from the Franklin guy. The more I read the more i learn who he is and i'm afraid of this guy, I'm saying that seriously. I'am not going to say much about his personality, as apparently I do not have anything nice to say, but now I understood why Noriko chose to be silent, because no one can win this guy. The reason? Very simple: We have kindness and sympathy and respect towards others but he doesn't
